ABOUT CITY EXPLORATION NETWORK

City-Explorations-Network (CEN) is a platform created to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences of practitioners working in the field of Urban and Territorial Planning (Spatial Planning) around the world. Ideas and experiences on responses and solutions to urban challenges as well as challenges spatial planners are facing and how these challenges affect urban environments and spatial planner’s work are displayed and discussed.

VISION

Our vision is to contribute to more effective and sustainable spatial planning practice around the globe through knowledge and exchange of ideas on how to deal with urban issues.

MISSION

Our mission is to exchange experience and knowledge amongst spatial planners around the globe facing and solving urban challenges of today and tomorrow as well as to give people outside the planning profession a platform to showcase their everyday urban reality.

CITY EXPLORATIONS

We explore cities around the world under different topics. We invite our followers to contribute by sending us a picture and a caption or through tagging us on their pictures on instagram.

So far we have explored more than 100 cities in various countries in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and Latin America, . The explorations go on check out our blog:

We explore our cities under various topics. If you are interested in one of CEN's topics or you would like to share your story under any other topic you can send us an email: cityexplorationsnetwork@gmail.com.

This email should contain one or more photographs as well as a short text talking about the photograph and the issue or issues the photograph(s) displays.
