Appropriation of Public Spaces, Berlin, Germany.
"Allemende-Kontor" is a citizens' initiative in Berlin for social, intercultural and ecological urban development through urban gardening. With its vision "city for all", the purposes of AK are education, creation of local networks and self-supply. Yet, AK seems to represent a utopian society as a counter concept to a consumer-, growth- and throwaway-society. Here you can see the pilot project at the former airport Tempelhof.
