Changing urban realities as a result of the challenges of our time call for strategic and innovative approaches to manage, plan and govern our cities. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as well as new technologies in general have in recent years received increasing attention as means to tackle challenges such as climate change, limited financial resources or for instance the need for overall more sustainable urban development. Tech solutions are said to have the potential to support business functions, city logistics and grids, transport, delivery of basic services, environmental management systems, government operations, data-driven industries like finance, and people-to-people interactions. We believe so too and would like to hear from you what your experiences have been so far with using ICT and other new technologies in your daily lives as well as in working as urban planners.
