Finalised in 2014 as the first metro in Central America, Panama City integrates a modern and relatively cheap (35 ct) public transport separated from the highly overcrowded streets. Along with the Metro Bus passengers need a Metro Card in order to enter the system. However, there are plenty of other private bus services around, regulated by the so called "Transit and Land Transportation Authority - Autoridad del Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (ATTT)".
Traffic is one of the major issues in Panama City.
