Bus Rapid Transit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

In 2016 Dar es Salaam's Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system started to operate. It is a less cost-intensive alternative to other public transport systems such as underground metro or overground tram systems. In the case of Dar es Salaam, the BRT has been introduced to reduce traffic congestion and to provide an efficient public transport alternative to the existing privately operated buses called Daladala.
