Cities of Contrast. The Case of Frankfurt, Germany.

German cities are often cities of contrasts with regard to cultural heritage. During World War II a lot of buildings including those of historical value were destroyed. After the war many historical buildings were not reconstructed. Today those which survived are often found in between modern structures which gives many German cities such as Frankfurt an unique image.
