My favourite Spot in Nairobi, Kenya.
"Living in the capital city of Nairobi, Kenya can get rather hectic - the bustling city is easily stimulating, often demanding a lot from one with its many distractions, sounds of traffic, activities and L-I-F-E.
Thankfully, located close to where I live and within the city is an Urban Forest - Karura Forest managed by the Kenya Forest Service in conjunction with the Friends of the Karura Forest Community Forest Association. Ever so often, when the weather is sunny outside, I take slow walks on the different trekking routes. It is often a fun adventure involving the identification of plant species, startling of little bush babies, observing intelligent syke monkeys, walking alongside butterflies, and spotting mysterious black and white colobuses. To have this spot located within the city, where it never gets too crowded, and provides for unique experiences each travel, has provided for a great and much needed respite."
